1. Testes (Primary Sex Organs)

2. Vas Deferens (Sperm Duct)

The Vas Deferens is a narrow tube that connects the testes to the urethra. It serves as the primary pathway through which mature sperms travel from the testes up into the abdominal cavity.

3. Associated Glands (Seminal Vesicles and Prostate Gland)

Along the path of the Vas Deferens, secretions from the Prostate Gland and Seminal Vesicles are added to the sperms:

  • Nutritional Fluid: Their secretions provide nutrients (like fructose) to feed the sperms.
  • Sperm Motility: The fluid makes transportation easier by providing a fluid medium for the sperms to swim.
  • Semen Formation: The mixture of sperms and these glandular secretions is collectively called Semen.

4. Urethra

The Urethra is a thick muscular tube that originates from the urinary bladder and runs through the penis. In human males, it acts as a common passage for both urine and semen (though never at the same time).

5. Penis

The penis is the external muscular genital organ that encloses the urethra. Its primary function is to deliver sperms into the female reproductive tract during mating (copulation).
